LCert 2012 Academic Achievement

76 students sat their Leaving Certificate in 2012. High grades were recorded across twenty one different subjects ( Irish, English, Maths, French, German,Russian,Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Home Economics Social & Scientific, History, Geography, Business, Accounting, Music, Art, Construction Studies,Janapese, Polish, Latvian & Lithuanian).

Our results are significantly higher than the national averages when compared by points bands.

1.3% achieved in excess of 600 points compared with 0.3% nationally

7.8% achieved in excess of 550 points compared with 2.8% nationally

15.6% achieved in excess of 500 points compared with 6.7% nationally

Cumulatively, the comparisons are equally impressive with 32% of Colaiste Muire students achieving in excess of 450 points (equivalent to 6 grade B3 at higher level) compared to 20% nationally.

Leaving Certificate Vocational

Of the 14 students who successfully completed the LCVP Link Modules, 1 was awarded a Distinction, 9 were awarded Merit and 4 were awarded a Pass.

Leaving Certificate Applied

Of the 12 students who successfully completed the LCA programme, 4 were awarded Distinction,6 were awarded Merit and 2 were awarded a Pass.
