LCert 2013 Academic Achievement
84 students sat their Leaving Certificate in 2013. High grades 3.6% achieved in excess of 600 points compared with
were recorded across twenty three different subjects ( Irish,
English, Maths, French, German,Biology, Chemistry,
Physics,Agricultural Science,Applied Maths, Home Economics
Social & Scientific, History, Geography,Economics, Business,
Accounting, Music, Art,Technology,Janapese, Polish,
Lithuanian & Portuguese).
Well done to Fatima-Zahra Jaouimaa who has been
announced as a recipient of a 2013 All Ireland Scholarship 3rd
Level Education Award. (sponsered by JP McManus)
She received her award from the Minister for Finance
Michael Noonan T.D. at a ceremony in UL on 9 November
2013. Fatima is studying Economics & Mathematical Science
Well done again to Fatima-Zahra Jaouimaa and also to Alannah Redington. They have both been awarded one of the UL40 Scholarship Awards based on their performance in the Leaving Certificate. Alannah is studying Financial Maths in UL.
Well done to Holly Cogreave who has been awarded a UCD Entrance Scholarship. She is currently studying Medicine.

Our results are significantly higher than the national averages
when compared by points bands.
13.1% achieved in excess of 550 points compared with
14.3% achieved in excess of 500 points compared with
Cumulatively, the comparisons are equally impressive with
31% of Colaiste Muire students achieving in excess of 500
points compared to 10% nationally. 50% of our students
achieved in excess of 450 points (equivalent to 6 grade B3 at
higher level) compared to 20% nationally.

Leaving Certificate Vocational
Of the 18 students who successfully completed the LCVP Link
Modules, 12 were awarded Distinction and 6 were awarded
Leaving Certificate Applied
Of the 8 students who successfully completed the LCA
programme, 5 were awarded Distinction and 3 were awarded
Well done to Danielle Marshall, one of 9 students nationally to be awarded the LCA Annual Fergal Quinn Award for outstanding results in LCA.
