Grúpa Ceoil

A Traditional Irish Music group meets weekly comprising mainly of junior students and in particular first year students. A group of fourth year students lead the seisiun. New members are always welcome!

Each March the group enters the Féile na hInse competition.

On Thursday 17th September, Coláiste Muire welcomed Minister O'Keeffe and Sharon Shannon to
the school.The purpose of the visit was to mark Sharon Shannon's donation of a CD of traditional music and songbook which the Department will distribute to every school.

Coláiste Muire's traditional musicians played
for the invited guests. After the photocall, Sharon, a past pupil of Coláiste Muire joined the school's traditional musicians for a short concert.
