UCC Prep-for-Med Day 2019

Coláiste Muire has been selected to participate in UCC’s ‘Prep For Med School Day 2019 . Two of our TY students will join schools from all over Kerry, Waterford, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary and Cork in the School of Medicine, Brookfield Health Sciences Complex, UCC on Friday, 1st February , 2019.

FLAME Anatomy Laboratory

This year UCC has again included a visit to the amazing FLAME Anatomy laboratory in UCC where the combination of traditional Anatomy teaching methods and state-of-the-art technology-enhanced teaching combine to make this a world-class Anatomy Department

09.30 Visit to UCC’s state-of-the-art FLAME Anatomy Laboratory in Western Gateway Building. 09.30 Coffee and Chat with School of Medicine staff in the Western Gate Building Atrium.


Learning Clinical Skills

Students rotate through eight ‘teaching stations’ and learn first-hand from our teachers and medical students howclinical skills are taught in medical school.


Students – before starting clinical skills stations, please leave your jacket and bag in BHSC_G26 (you will be brought here by your group Coordinator).

Students – when finished at the Clinical Skills stations at 12.15, please collect your belongings from BHSC G26 before lunch which will be provided in Café Brookfield.
