Camogie

Coláiste Muire has a proud and growing tradition in camogie, demonstrated by consistent success at both County, Munster and All_Ireland level. Camogie continues to be one of the most popular sports in our school, with multiple teams representing the school from 1st Year to 6th Year.

We are proud to be the only school in Clare fielding a team at Senior A level, reaching the Munster Senior A Semi-Final in 2025. A remarkable achievement and testament to the talent and commitment of our players and coaches. Our Senior team has dominated the Clare County Championship, winning the title four years in a row, including the most recent win in 2025.

Our camogie programme supports players at all levels, with two First Year teams, two Junior teams, and two Senior teams competing each year. This structure ensures development and progression across all year groups. Camogie training takes place at lunchtime and after school, fostering strong teamwork, discipline and school spirit.

A number of our past pupils have gone on to represent Clare at Senior inter-county level, further highlighting the high standard of camogie within the school.

Rooted in strong links with local clubs, camogie at Coláiste Muire is more than just a school sport – it’s a central part of our community. Thanks to the passion and commitment of our players and coaches, camogie in Coláiste Muire continues to grow from strength to strength.
