The Companionship Award is one of the most meaningful awards we present each year because it’s chosen by our 6th Year students themselves. It is awarded to a student who has made school a better place for all. Each 6th Year student casts a vote and shares a reason for their choice, making the award a true reflection of peer respect and admiration.

This year, we were overwhelmed by the number of thoughtful nominations and heartfelt messages submitted, a true testament to the kindness and community spirit of our students.

We’re incredibly proud to announce the winner of the 2025 Companionship Award: Ciara Fitzpatrick.

Read a summary of some of the reasons Ciara’s classmates gave for nominating her!

Every single day, she greets everyone who walks into the room.  Her smiling face makes school a happy and more welcoming place.  She’s always so kind and helpful and she really cares about everyone.  Her bubbly personality lifts the mood, no matter what’s happening and she brings good vibes to the school and LC area.  Whether you’re stressed about exams, having a meltdown or just in a mood in general, when she speaks to you she’s so supportive and makes you feel as though you have her full attention and engagement.  Her attitude towards life is inspirational and we can all learn from her positivity as she goes about her day-to-day tasks.

When I think about who deserves this award, there’s no doubt in my mind: Her laugh is contagious, all you have to do is look in her direction and you can’t help yourself but smile back.  No matter how bad your day is going, all she has to say is ‘heey’ and your mood is transformed.  She is the most enthusiastic, resilient, open-minded and friendly person I have ever met.  She has certainly made the last six years memorable and so full of laughs and smiles that I will never forget.
