Well done to five students from fourth and fifth year who recently took part in the Soroptimist International Public Speaking in The Old Ground Hotel. Well done also to their teacher Dr Richie Hayes. Topics ranged from the empowerment of women and gender equality, the environment and our impact, and mental health and its importance in contemporary society. Two Coláiste Muire students were awarded places; Katie Coll (fifth year) and Katie McDermott (fourth year) who received first and third places respectively.
